Whether on short or long journeys, safety for child passengers should always come first on every journey. This is why KIDFIX M i-SIZE, which has been specifically tested and designed for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, has a large range of features to keep any loads applied to the child as low as possible in the event of a crash. For example, the child seat has large, softly padded seat side bolsters for lateral protection, as well as a rigid seat base, a stable seat belt guide and a very robust head restraint attachment. This mainly keeps older children, who are already strapped in with the 3-point vehicle seat belt, very safe. The ergonomic head restraint also provides comfort when your child sleeps during a journey. Really practical: in order to be able to use the child seat between the ages of approx. 3.5 and 12 years (approved according to GB 27887-2011 for children from 100 to 150 cm, 15 to 36 kg body weight), the seat can grow with the child, as the seat belt guide and head restraint can always be moved to the correct position for the child's height. For a comfortable seat position, the V-shaped backrest of the KIDFIX M i-SIZE can be continuously adjusted to match the inclination of the vehicle seat. The forward-facing seat also makes it easy to safely and correctly insert and remove the child seat, thanks to its standard ISOFIX locking latches. The standard introduction aids can provide support, provided they are not already integrated in the vehicle. The ISOFIT system also ensures a fixed and secure connection between vehicle and child seat, even when the seat is unoccupied. KIDFIX M-iSIZE has even been designed by our specialist developers for use in Mercedes-Benz cars equipped with a belt airbag. If necessary, the seat backrest can be removed to use it as a booster seat. The high-quality, soft and padded materials used for the design of the child seat, which can be removed and washed on request, are another benefit. In vehicles without fitted ISOFIX attachment points, KIDFIX M i-SIZE can alternatively be secured with the conventional 3-point seat belt. For this purpose, the ISOFIX locking arms on the child seat can be folded down.
